A treat for summer heat? It’s nearly summertime once again, as a real estate virtual assistant, you must be wondering what to post for your real estate blog. And you want your blogs to reflect the season.
You may think this is a hard task to tackle, since writing for real estate seems like you’re already hard-pressed for a topic without the added complication of keeping it in season. This may not be the case, if only you will let your imagination take you places. Your blog doesn’t always need to be technical, especially if it is not asked of you. As a real estate virtual assistant, you only need to keep it related to real estate without being all about the industry all the time.
To give you an idea, here are three themes or ideas you can work on:
1. Play up the perks of having a beachfront property for summer escapades
Summer is synonymous with beach. It simply means that, mentioning summer, a beach scene is the first thing that will pop into the mind followed by a tall glass of cool drinks. Does the real estate firm you work for offer beachfront properties? This is your chance to showcase them in a blog that has nothing to do with selling them outright, rather just to build up the potential of owning one.
Use the pictures you have of those properties on a blog while highlighting on the text the potential of being close to the beach, especially in summertime. If a property has a bedroom that overlooks the beach, state how heavenly it will be for one to wake up with the scent of the sea and an unencumbered view of the sunrise (if you are an early riser). Tell surfers how easy it will be to track the waves and have a grab-and-go possibility, like grab your board and run to the beach.
Make your readers feel the sand beneath their feet, the wind in their hair, and the sun on their skin as they read your words. Don’t sell the property, sell the feeling of adventure and intense relaxation of living near the beach. Like having the luxury of just walking out your house for a dip without having to travel far or take so many things, where a towel and sunblock will do. After all, your home is close for you to just walk to the beach, swim, walk back home, and rinse-off the salt in the comforts of your own bathroom.
2. Share activities your company is organizing for the summer
Ask the real estate firm you are working for if they have any summer activities or promotions in the works. Something like a 10% discount on the rental of a beach property for the first five customers. If they do, ask for details. Tell them you want to blog about it, this way you can work together for their interest which can also serve as an unofficial press release for any promotions they may have planned for the summer.
Now, if they have something like an open-house/barbeque party for one of their most strategic beachfront properties to draw in a crowd, blogging about it is a great idea to publicize the event. You can even put up a nice video blog for it, which you can share on the firm’s account in different social networking sites. This way you can generate more audience for the blogs and interested future-clients in for the event.
3. Put-together a shortlist of the best places to go or activities to do during summer
Be a helpful kind of blogger, being a real estate virtual assistant does not deter you from that, it actually gives you more chances to be one. Give tips on the most fun activities to get caught up in or make a list of the best places to visit during summer. You can make a collage of pictures that show summer vacation spots and activities to make it more eye-pleasing for your readers.
You can even give ideas on hobbies best-suited for the summer, which people can actually enjoy when they indulge in. Also give the benefits to be had for these hobbies, especially if there are any health-related benefits – people love that.
You don’t always have to be all business. Let your audience see your fun side sometimes. It will help them see you as a good information provider because you are able to give both technical materials and fun helpful tips. This way you earn more respect as a blogger and more traffic for your company’s website where your blogs are published.
